Our history

This business evolved from a humble workshop service, on the Umfolozi flats, serving the sugar industry during 1971 by the Wessels family.
André joined as an apprentice mechanic in 1975. After hardships caused by the Dimoina floods in 1984, André and Lenette took over the business and became a Same tractor dealer. After Same’s withdrawal from SA, André took on the Landini dealership through Malcomess LTD in 1988. Malcomess’s from agriculture during 1991 left Landini without a distributor in SA.
The business continued to service their Landini clients and relocated to Hluhluwe in 1992.
The distribution of Landini in SA was resumed in 1994 through the Reumech group, whom re-established a Landini dealer network in SA.
During 1995 André sold the first new Landini in Hluhluwe to the Meyer family. Marking the start of a quarter century relationship with Hluhluwe farmers.
Landini Italy took over direct distribution from Reumech , whom later re-structured under Argo Industrial (PTY) LTD.
Tractor and Implement served as an Important cornerstone for the Landini Brand in Kwa-Zulu Natal, and has achieved (palmed-in) numerus awards amongst which it was awarded “National Dealer of The Year” in 2004.
This family run business developed itself into a vital service provider in Hluhluwe and surrounding areas as a tractor dealer, general farming supply and light engineering + manufacturing of implements and farming trailers.
